Subscription mechanism

OAK's subscription mechanism works on the background verifying if the current user holds a valid subscription.

From version 5.1 we have implemented a new licensing mechanism, supported on a 3rd party licensing provider (www.licensespring.com) making OAK licensing much more reliable and less intrusive.

When the user open OAK for the first time Buying and Activating OAK , a email address and password will be asked - the user will have a confirmation email on his inbox from the Operis Hub with all the necessary credentials.

Upon a successful login, OAK will save your credentials locally to avoid the nuisance of constant logins but will keep checking your license status on the background every 30 min.

WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE INTERNET ACCESS?

OAK allows the user to keep using it for three days since the last automatic verification. If, after 3 days, OAK is not able to communicate with the subscription's server to verify the subscription status, a message will be displayed requiring the user to connect to the internet so that the license can be verified.

CAN I USE OAK IN MULTIPLE COMPUTERS WITH MY ACCOUNT?

Yes but not concurrently (at the same time). The OAK subscription mechanism will run a logout/login again procedure on the background every 30 minutes of inactivity - this way, the user will be able to leave his office computer logged in on OAK and still be able to use the same OAK login credentials at his home computer as OAK closes the office session after 30 minutes of no activity.
